ROYAL KENNEL CLUB

                 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

                             REMOVAL OF EXHIBITS
Exhibitors are reminded that when entering Crufts they agree to abide by the rules and
regulations of the show, one of which is as follows:
“Exhibits may only be removed from 4.00 pm onwards each day and this is the earliest time at
which any dog can be removed unless by written order of the veterinary surgeon or of the show
management and then only in very exceptional and unforeseen circumstances which must be
reported to the Royal Kennel Club.”
It is stressed that the reasons for early removals will only
be acceptable to the Committee if they are genuinely
                            “EXCEPTIONAL AND UNFORESEEN”
Please Note: Permission to remove exhibits earlier than
4.00 pm CANNOT be granted before the Show

                       HANDLING OF DOGS AT CRUFTS
Exhibitors are reminded that it is not acceptable to handle a dog in a manner which causes its
feet not to touch the ground when on the move. Exhibitors should note that such practices could
constitute harsh handling and reports will be referred to the Committee under Royal Kennel Club
Show Regulation F11. The same applies to the practice of picking up dogs, often terriers, by their
necks, leads or tails when lifting them to and from the table during judging. Such practice is both
undesirable and unnecessary. If a dog winning Best of Breed has been handled as per the foregoing,
the handler will not be permitted to handle the dog in the Group and a replacement handler will be
required for the dog to compete further. Similarly, if a dog is handled in this manner in the Group
an alternative handler will need to be appointed for Best in Show.
All judges will be made aware of the Regulation and Ring Stewards will be briefed to monitor this
and refer any concerns to the Group Stewards.

ROYAL KENNEL CLUB AND CRUFTS LOGOS
The Royal Kennel Club logo and the Crufts logo are the registered service marks of the Royal
Kennel Club and may not be used without the authorisation of the Royal Kennel Club.
It is the policy of the Royal Kennel Club to enforce its rights in respect of these registered marks
and action will be taken against any unauthorised use.
