            OBEDIENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS


            The Obedience Championship for Dogs — Saturday 7 March 2026
           The Obedience Championship for Bitches — Sunday 8 March 2026

       The dogs entitled to compete for these Championship Competitions are those who have
       been awarded a Royal Kennel Club Obedience Certificate between 1 January 2025
       and 31 December 2025.
       Entry Forms are sent direct to the owners of all qualifying dogs with full particulars of the
       conditions of the Championships. Please note there is an entry charge of £27.00 per dog.
       The First Prize winner in each Championship will be entitled to be described as Obedience
       Champion provided the exhibits don't lose more than 15 points out of 230. As all competing
       dogs must have won at least one Obedience Certificate, the Championship will be the
       equivalent of two Obedience Certificates.
       The tests for the Championship  are those required  for Class “C”.  The Obedience
       Championships will be held in accordance with the Obedience Regulations in force as
       at 1 January 2026.
        Would all Competitors please note the following Royal Kennel Club regulations:
         (a)  no bitch in season shall be allowed to compete in Obedience Classes;
         (b)  no person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any
            time whilst within the boundaries of the Show;
         (c)  a draw for the running order in Championship Class C will be made prior to the
            Show.

       CLASS C
         a.  For Championship Class C at Championship Shows, dogs must have won out of
           Novice, Class A and Class B or have progressed on points from those classes and
           have won Open Class C on one occasion and have been placed not lower than
           third on three further occasions, all Open Class C places and wins must have been
           won under different Judges at Royal Kennel Club licensed shows.
         b.  The detailed tests will be:
            (1)  Heel Work. The dog shall be required to walk at heel free, and also be tested
               at fast and slow pace. The dog shall also be required, whilst walking to heel
               at normal pace, to be left at the stand, sit and down positions.   60 points
